What VETERINOL can help you with

How does veterinol work in practice?

It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Anička was playing with her dog Lucky in the yard. They ran around the yard, Anička laughed and Lucky fetched. During one throw, Anička accidentally threw the ball into her mother’s flower pot, which broke. Lucky, in a fit of joy, jumped for the ball among the shards and cut himself. Lucky squealed. Anička was scared. When she saw that Lucky’s paw was bleeding, she started to cry. At that moment, Anička’s mother ran into the yard. When she found out what happened, she calmed Anička and told her that luckily they have a remedy at home that will make Lucky better soon – Veterinol. So she cleaned, disinfected and bandaged his wound. Anička was surprised that Lucky did not resist the disinfection at all. She was used to it stinging a little when mom disinfected something for her. Satisfied, Lucky licked Anička’s mom’s face and went to cuddle with Anička so that she would know that she was fine. Mom still managed to remind Anica not to forget to use disinfectant in the future if Lucky cuts himself again. Without disinfection, he could develop inflammation, which would hurt him and could get worse over time.

Veterinol is one of the basic preparations in my veterinary practice since its beginnings. Its application in animals allows me to manage dermatological patients in most cases even without the use of antibiotic treatment. Moreover, not only I, but also the owners appreciate, in addition to the low price of such therapy, the rapid onset of its effect in the case of otitis media.

What is Veterinol?

Veterinol is a Slovakian product, made to help treatment of severe and extensive injuries, infected and chronic wounds, minor scratches and erosions not only on the skin, but also on mucous membranes. It is a super oxidized, non-toxic and non-irritating agent in the form of a solution or gel. It is used to clean, moisten and treat wounds (acute and chronic), abscesses, burns and abrasions. It is suitable for all animal species. It helps reducing the microbial load and creating a moist environment in the wound – thanks to which the organism is able to develop its own healing process. The active substance in the preparation perfectly mimics the immune system of animals, so Veterinol does not create resistance.

*Veterinol – does not harm healthy tissues, is non-toxic and does not irritate eyes, ears, respiratory tract, skin or mucous membranes of animals (or the people who treat them). It is safe for repetitive use for pregnant and lactating animals as well as animals intended for human consumption. Veterinol is not harmful to pregnant and lactating women, is not harmful to the environment and is available without a prescription.

One of the main components used by animal’s immune system to destroy pathogens (bacteria, viruses, yeasts, fungi…) is a hypochlorous acid. Together with oxygen forms the active substance of Veterinol. Hypochlorous acid has such an amazing ability to penetrate deep into the body tissues, get in contact with pathogens and effectively destroy them. In doing so, it uses biologically active oxygen, which destroys them by chemical action – oxidation.

Normally, white blood cells produce sufficient amounts of hypochlorous acid. However, in case of weakened immunity, the animal’s body is unable to produce sufficient amounts. We can then supplement it externally with Veterinol to speed up the healing process.

Minor wounds, erosions and scratches | Bite wounds, lacerations, puncture wounds (= wounds of various aetiologies) | Wounds in horses, “hot-spot” in small animals (= dermatitis of various aetiologies) | Chronic and non-healing wounds | Infected wounds, abscesses | Burns (all degrees) | Treatment of hoof and hoof rot | Disinfection of the umbilical stump | Disinfection of the area before injection | Disinfection of the skin before surgery (using, or without the use of other disinfectants) | Toileting of the ears (possibility of use in parallel with otologic, safe for eardrum rupture) | Toileting of the eyes (eye flushing, bacterial infection, viral infection – e.g. herpes virus in cats) | Oral toilet (treatment for stomatitis, gingivitis, injuries in the oral cavity and around the lips, laryngo-tracheitis) | In the abdominal cavity perioperatively (e.g. Toilet and anal gland lavage | Bladder irrigation for cystitis or urinary stones | Postoperative wound care | Irrigation of uterine contents for pyometra | Toilet prepuration in dogs | Disinfection of the udder before milking (can also be used for rinsing milking equipment, as Veterinol effectively eliminates odours)

Veterinol is safe for all species of animals, including exotic animals, birds, amphibians and reptiles.

Veterinol is covered by an 18-month warranty when stored properly. However, as it is a saline solution with hypochlorous acid, Veterinol will be safe for health even after the warranty period has expired.
